Coppell ISD is pleased to announce the CISD Board of Trustees approved one of its own as the district’s new Director of Science during their meeting June 24.
Evan has served as a Physics and Chemistry teacher at Coppell High School since 2014 and most recently has served as the Physics Team lead for CHS. He also is an adjunct instructor at North Lake College within the Dallas County Community College system and has taught for several years in school districts in the state of New York.
Evan received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in science from the University at Albany.
“As a teacher in CISD, I have experienced firsthand this district’s dedication to great teaching,” Evan said. “I know I have some big shoes to fill, and I look forward to continuing CISD’s commitment to giving our science educators all the resources and professional development they need to best serve our students.”
Evan replaces retiring CISD Director of Science Dr. Linda Cook. He begins his new position July 1.
