CHS Theatre Presents “Once on This Island” April 16-18, 23-24

CHS Theatre presents the musical “Once on This Island” in person on April 16-18 and April 23-24, and offers a virtual option April 23-24.  Adapted from the Tony award-winning Broadway musical, the show is about a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring people together of different social classes.

“Our theatre students are thrilled to be able to perform this musical safely in person,” said CHS Theatre Director Karen Ruth. “The talent of our student performers and technicians is astounding and the message of this musical is powerful. I hope our community will experience it, either in person or virtually, however they are comfortable.”

All in-person performances take place in the Coppell High School Auditorium. Seating capacity is limited to 30 percent or 170 people per show, masks are required in the building at all times and HEPA filters will be running. Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in pods of two or four for social distancing. A strict seating chart will be enforced for social distancing and contact tracing. Ticket sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. Virtual streaming tickets are available for the April 23-24 performances.
