High School Students Qualify for DECA International Competition
A total of 42 CISD high school students have qualified for the DECA student business organization's international competition after competing at the Texas DECA competition in Houston on Feb. 24-26.
Advancing to the DECA International Career Development Conference from CHS9 are Yashitha Chunduru, Sabah Uddin and Navya Singh. The CHS DECA students who qualified for the international competition are: Sri Achanta, Arya Agashe, Ria Akhilesh, Tavishka Arora, Anuraag Ayancha, Rahul Balaji, Jaserah Chowdhury, Anveshi Goyal, Vrishti Jain, Farah Kader, Saketh Kalvakuntla, Dhruv Kamtam, Veda Kanamarlapudi, Sahana Kaushik, Aashna Kothari, Anirudh Kumbum, Linh Le, Nic Martinez, Dilan Patel, Isha Rahi, Rudransh Rajaram, Jeevana Ramakrishna, Janani Ramamoorthy, Nithilan Ravikumar, Kavin Sampath, Siya Sangani, Zahra Shaikhali, Hemaksh Sondhi, Nischintha Srinivasan and Aryan Veluru. The New Tech High @ Coppell DECA students who qualified for the international competition are: Bogdan Maksimov, Joshua Thomas, Bhargav Vendula, Soha Alam, Anthika Gunsalan, Payton Hoenig, Namyuktha Prakash, Arwyn Sullivan and Anekah Kelley.
The CHS9 DECA adviser is Kim Porter, the CHS DECA chapter advisers are Richard Chamberlain and Andrea Pirtle and the New Tech High @ Coppell chapter advisers are Marieke Mastebroek and Zachary Morrison-Ruiz.
Texas DECA is the largest DECA association in the world with more than 16,000 members. The DECA International Career Development Conference will take place in Atlanta at the end of April.
