Free Meals for CISD Elementary Students Ends on May 27

Free meals for CISD elementary school students will end on the last day of school on Friday, May 27, 2022. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is expected to discontinue the waiver that has allowed schools to offer free meals through the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program for the 2022-2023 school year. Students attending summer school may purchase meals according to their free and reduced meal eligibility status.

The Free and Reduced Lunch program remains in place for families who qualify. Families are encouraged to apply for this program online at www.schoollunchapp.com for the 2022-2023 school year starting on July 1, 2022.

In addition, due to federal regulations and overall cost increases for food, the prices for breakfast and lunch will increase next year.

Elementary Breakfast: $1.75 | Lunch: $3.00

Reminder:  Parents, guardians or students can add funds to their accounts in person at the school cafeteria by depositing cash or checks, or for a small fee they can use the "My School Bucks" app to deposit funds with a debit or credit card.
