This document may be updated periodically

  • In addition to the Colt Camp/ virtual tour video on the registration page, where can I find a map of the building so that we can review where his classrooms are located?
    • We will have maps posted all over the school and teachers helping students get to their classes. There will be plenty of staff helping students find classes and arrows on the floor to direct the flow.
  • What is BEAST time?
    • BEAST time is a type of advisory/homeroom/tutoring time during the normal school year. We do not currently have BEAST time built into our schedule now or for the foreseeable future. Students will not go to that “zero” period class.
  • Do students have an assigned locker?
    • Right now, students are not assigned a locker for safety reasons, and will not need to locate or use it.
  • Do students carry backpacks throughout school or are they expected to keep their backpacks in their lockers?
    • Backpacks are fine, but we are only encouraging students to carry their iPad, something to write with and something to write on in their backpack from class to class. Teachers will give guidance on what else they need for class. Art students will need to bring their kits with them to class.
  • What do students do with the school supplies that were required?
    • School supplies need to be left at home until asked to bring them to school. Typically, they are asked to bring a certain supply to their math teacher, a different one to their Science teacher, etc…
  • Do students take their school issued iPads to each class?
    • Yes- all lessons will be conducted on their iPads, just like distance learning, until all students are back in the building. Please get in the habit of charging the iPad every night.
  • Where do students change for PE?
    • Are there separate lockers to store their school clothes while they are in their PE uniform? Students will not be dressing out for PE until it is safe to participate without a mask. For future knowledge- There are locker rooms in the gyms for students to change. They will have a locker and school issued locks for that locker. Students are encouraged to bring the PE uniforms home at the end of the week to be washed and brought back to school the following week. Rules and expectations about the locker room will be discussed when it is decided the students will start dressing out.
  • How much time is between classes?
    • During this time, the passing period is 10 minutes, but classes will be on a staggered release to limit the people in the hall.

    • Yes, students may carry a water bottle.
  • Do students carry snacks?
    • No, snacks are not allowed in classrooms.
  • Do students store their lunch (when packed) in a locker or do they need to keep it in their backpack?
