During their monthly Board Meeting on Nov. 13, CISD Trustees heard an update on the 2023 Bond Projects, specifically on the major renovation at Valley Ranch Elementary, the new Fine Arts rehearsal building at CHS, Tennis Center upgrades and the replacement of playgrounds at 10 of the 11 elementary schools. The Board also discussed the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 budget planning process and timeline.

Cross Country Runners Henry Henze and Maya Easterwood for qualifying for the State Cross Country Meet
Richard J. Lee Elementary's 5th grader Ahiri Neeli for claiming the top spot in her grade level and for being the grand prize winner of the Trinity River Authority's 2023 Art Contest
The Coppell Varsity Band for placing 8th at State UIL Competition and
Coppell High School Chess Team for winning two team state titles and the 12th grade championship
12th Grade: State Champion Sharvesh Deviprasath;
11th Grade: State Champion Team of Aniruddha Kumar, Nayan Gandra and Lorenzo Rodriguez; and
10th Grade: State Champion Team of Amay Babel and Liam Li
Other Board Consent Agenda and Action Highlights include:
The Board approved a revision to the CH Local policy allowing the Superintendent the authority to accept and award bids and proposals for all budgeted 6200-6400 series account codes and library books (code 6329) regardless of the amount and for all capital outlay (6600 series account codes) under $50,000 per bid unless state law requires the Board to make or approve a purchase. The Superintendent shall place formal competitive bid summaries for all capital outlay items over $50,000 on the monthly meeting agenda for approval by the Board;
Trustees approved Glenn Engineering for Civil and Structural Engineering Services;
The Board approved to award RFPs FoodSvc-001-24 for Food Services and AthEqpSVC-002-24 for Athletics Equipment and Services;
Trustees approved the Financial Report for October 2023; and
- The Board approved the Budget Amendments for November 2023.
