During their monthly Board Meeting on Nov. 13, CISD Trustees heard an update on the 2023 Bond Projects, specifically on the major renovation at Valley Ranch Elementary, the new Fine Arts rehearsal building at CHS, Tennis Center upgrades and the replacement of playgrounds at 10 of the 11 elementary schools. The Board also discussed the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 budget planning process and timeline.

During Board Awards, Superintendent Dr. Brad and CISD Trustees recognized:

  • Cross Country Runners Henry Henze and Maya Easterwood for qualifying for the State Cross Country Meet

  • Richard J. Lee Elementary's 5th grader Ahiri Neeli for claiming the top spot in her grade level and for being the grand prize winner of the Trinity River Authority's 2023 Art Contest

  • The Coppell Varsity Band for placing 8th at State UIL Competition and

  • Coppell High School Chess Team for winning two team state titles and the 12th grade championship

    • 12th Grade: State Champion Sharvesh Deviprasath;

    • 11th Grade: State Champion Team of Aniruddha Kumar, Nayan Gandra and Lorenzo Rodriguez; and

    • 10th Grade: State Champion Team of Amay Babel and Liam Li
