Congratulations to Wilson Elementary Fourth Grade Teacher Cara Marquez, who was surprised on Nov. 30 with the news that she is 94.9 KLTY-FM’s Teacher of the Month. Her nominators said that Marquez’s teaching is fun and creative and she makes the education process something her students enjoy. Marquez responded by saying the best part of being a teacher is her relationships with the kids. Connections with her students are the hallmark of her teaching philosophy, and she continues to check on her students after they leave her classroom to make sure they are doing well academically and emotionally.
