Rendering by the architect firm Corgan of the renovations and upgrades to the Coppell Tennis Center at Coppell High School, which is expected to be complete in August 2025.
During the March 26 Board Meeting, CISD Trustees approved several items related to the district’s Bond projects. Trustees approved:
Amending the agreement with Core Construction to include a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the construction of the Coppell High School fine arts building of $18,575,264 with a contingency and allowances of $928,763 for the construction of the 46,593 square foot building that will house band, choir, color guard, dance, and cheer and will include a storm shelter. Construction is expected to be complete by August 2025.
Amending the agreement with Core Construction to include a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the additions and renovation of the Coppell High School Tennis Center of $5,451,114 with a contingency and allowances of $272,555 for renovations and construction that includes:
Renovation of the 2,400 square foot existing building
Construction of an additional 4,856 square feet
Includes instructional classroom areas, locker rooms with showers, offices and concessions
New LED tennis court lighting
Construction is expected to be completed in August 2025.
Approved amending the agreement with Core Construction to include a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the additions and renovations of Valley Ranch Elementary of $30,495,582 with a contingency and allowances of $1,547,650. The renovations to Valley Ranch include:
Two new wings including 8 classrooms
New student collaborative areas throughout the building
Redesigned library space
New office space construction
Two enclosed outdoor classrooms with fall surfacing
New canopy and facade for the entrance of the building
New doors, door hardware and locks for all classrooms and exterior doors
Weatherproof building exteriors
Interior improvements (flooring, wall coverings, ceilings, LED lighting, cabinets and storage)
Fire alarm system replacement
Public address and clock system replacement
New roof on existing building
New kiln
New cooler/freezer for kitchen
Construction is expected to be complete by August 2025.
Approved amending the agreement with Core Construction to include a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the construction of the Track and Field — Field Events at Buddy Echols Field of $460,338 with a contingency and allowances of $23,017. Construction of the Track and Field — Field Events include:
Long jump
High jump
Triple jump
Pole vault
Construction is expected to be complete by August 2025.

Bond Project Update
Executive Director of Technology Services Dwight Goodwin shared an update on the Bond project occurring in the Board Room of the Vonita White Administration Building over the summer. The Board room will be closed for renovations during June and July All board meetings and workshops will be held at Coppell Middle School West, 2701 Ranch Trail, Coppell, in the Large Gathering Instruction (LGI) room across from the main gym. All meetings will be open to the public and recorded for the website.
