Did you know that schools in Texas are funded based on student attendance, not enrollment? The state counts a child present if they are in class when attendance is taken each day, which is 10 a.m. for Elementary, 10:15 a.m. for Middle School and 10:45 a.m. for High School. Help us increase our attendance rate districtwide by having your child in school or by scheduling your appointments before or after attendance is taken.

Denton Creek Elementary and Coppell Middle School North came together for their Second Annual Stuffy Delivery. Denton Creek Art teacher Emanuela Errico and CMS North Art teacher Lynley Johnson joined forces for this project that had North students craft stuffed animals for the DCE Elementary learners. In an inspiring display of friendship, CMS North students poured their hearts into creating these special toys for Denton Creek's 2nd graders. Pen pal exchanges between the schools further cemented the bond, as students wrote heartfelt notes to each other. Denton Creek learners' designs came to life as North student artists brought them to fruition through sewing and actualization. This week, the culmination of their efforts arrived as North students joyfully delivered the stuffed animals to their Denton Creek friends, exemplifying the true essence of the "Right Stuff" of friendship.
