Substitute Teaching in Coppell ISD
Thank you for your interest in substitute teaching with Coppell ISD. Staffing needs are monitored throughout the year and are filled as needed.
We are currently NOT accepting substitute applications for the 2023-24 school year. For the 2024-25 school year, the application will open on June 10th.
We are currently hiring nurse substitutes. If you are a RN and would like to apply, please email Kristine Long directly at Klong@coppellisd.com.
Announcing the New Substitute Rates!
$125 – Texas Certified teacher
$115 – Bachelor’s degree or higher
$100 – High school diploma or equivalent
We are offering a $10.00 incentive on all Friday sub jobs
Substitute of the Month
Each month Coppell ISD Human Resources recognizes a CISD substitute who exhibits outstanding commitment to their role.
Shantha Ganji has been a substitute in the district for almost 8 years! Her dedication to the district is very apparent. She works at many campuses in the district, but you will find her most of the time at Lee Elementary where she is always there when they need her. She is a favorite among the students and they stay on task and manage their workload when she is with them. She is always on time and is always positive. Both staff and students look forward to seeing her in their classrooms . We would like to thank Mrs. Ganji for all she does for Coppell ISD by making her the Substitute of the Month!
