During the June 23, 2025 Board Meeting, CISD Trustees took the following actions:
Trustees approved a Resolution for the 2025-2026 Employee Compensation Plan, which
Provides a $2,500 raise for teachers who have completed 3 or 4 years of teaching experience,
A $5,000 raise for teachers who have completed 5 or more years of teaching experience,
A $2,000 raise for teachers with less than 3 years of teaching experience (about 3.1%) and
A general pay increase of 3% of the midpoint for all other employees is recommended to maintain market position for all other positions.
The Board approved the vendor CDW-G for iPad storage carts for Elementary classrooms for grades Pre-K through Fourth grade at a total cost not to exceed $220,000 to come from 2023 Bond Funds. CISD is moving from a take-home model for 1:1 iPads to a campus model for elementary grades Pre-K through Fourth.
Trustees approved the following 2023 Bond Projects:
Replacing the Coppell High School weight rooms sports flooring — 2023 Bond Proposition D at a cost of $329,348.78,
Replacing the Coppell High School weight rooms and weight equipment — 2023 Bond Proposition D at a cost of $401,523.45,
The purchase of furniture and equipment for the Coppell High School Tennis Center — 2023 Bond Proposition D at a cost of $98,096.45,
The purchase and installation of exterior lighting for the new Coppell High School Track and Field Events area — 2023 Bond Proposition C at a cost of $128,900,
The purchase and installation of a new HVAC boiler and air handler system for Coppell High School — 2023 Bond Proposition A, at a cost of 2,515,137.00 and
Concrete additions and repairs at the Coppell ISD Service Center and bus parking lot — 2023 Bond Proposition A at a cost of $535,126.84.
The Board approved extending the Agreement for the Transportation of Pupils with
Durham School Services, L.P.. through July 31, 2032, in exchange for an annual credit of $130,000 per year for the next seven (7) years, or a total of $910,000 in savings.
Trustees approved the Interlocal Agreement by and between Dallas County, Texas and the Coppell Independent School District for School Resource Deputies for four school resource deputies to be located at Canyon Ranch Elementary, Richard J. Lee Elementary, Valley Ranch Elementary, and Coppell Middle School West at a total cost of $530,457.54. The increase in cost from the 2024-25 school year is about two percent (2%).
The Board approved a Dallas College Memorandum of Understanding concerning EMT Dual Credit.
Trustees approved a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Dallas County Juvenile
The Board approved JP Morgan Chase Bank as the awarded depository services contracted vendor for Coppell ISD for the period September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2027, as set forth in Subchapter G, Section 45.205 of the Texas Education Code.
Trustees approved the monthly budget amendments for June 2025, the Financial Report for May 2025 and the Investment Report for the period ending May 31, 2025.
