The CISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar at the Feb. 23, 2026 meeting. The approved 2026-2027 calendar aligns with Option B shared with the CISD community in January and is similar to the district’s calendar for the past few years. The approved calendar has the 187 required workdays for teachers and exceeds the 75,600 minutes required by the state of Texas for student instruction. The calendar includes 76,860 instructional minutes, which is 1,260 extra minutes than the State of Texas required 75,600 minutes.
