First graders at Richard J. Lee Elementary explored creativity and fine motor skills as they learned to draw a chameleon in Jacqueline Quezada’s art class. Through this hands-on experience, students practiced using lines, understanding space and developing proportionality while carefully bringing their chameleons to life on paper. The lesson encouraged students to focus, experiment and express their creativity while strengthening the fine motor skills they use for writing, drawing and other learning activities.
