Coppell Wrestling is headed to the UIL State Wrestling Tournament, Feb. 13–14 in Cypress, after an impressive performance at the recent Region I-6A meet. On the boys side, Pedro Ibarra secured his spot at state with a strong third-place finish in the 165-pound weight class, while Sebastian Ramos earned state alternate honors at 138. The Cowgirls delivered a standout showing as well, led by Bella Malcolm, who claimed runner-up honors at 135. Additional state qualifiers include Trinitee Hobbs (3rd, 100), Hailey Kennedy (3rd, 120), Elizabeth Cummings (3rd, 125), Ishitha Malladi (3rd, 145), and Elizabeth Urick (3rd, 155). Congratulations to these athletes on their hard work and determination as they prepare to compete among the best in Texas.
