Three Coppell ISD students have earned international recognition as winners of the 2026 iWRITE Publishing Contest, with their original works selected for publication in the 17th volume of the I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids anthology. Congratulations to CMS East 8th grader Amartya Amresh, recognized for the short story Breaking Black Holes; CMS West 8th grader Vivaan Mahida, recognized for the poem The First to Step on the Moon; and Coppell High School junior Aditri Amresh, recognized for the short story Marie Curie: a Life in Vignettes. These talented student writers are among 150 young authors and illustrators being celebrated through this international publishing opportunity.
The students will be honored at the 17th Annual iWRITE Book Signing and Literacy Festival on Saturday, Nov. 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at Evelyn’s Park in Bellaire, Texas, where they will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet and autograph copies of their newly published anthology. Sponsored by H-E-B, the free, family-friendly event celebrates student creativity and literacy through live readings, book signings, giveaways and interactive activities. Congratulations to these outstanding CISD writers for sharing their creativity and talents with readers around the world.
