Richard J. Lee Elementary welcomed families into the building on Nov. 3 for Learner-Led Conferences, a dedicated day with no school for students that provided learners an opportunity to take an active role in sharing their educational journey. With their parents/guardians and teachers by their side, learners showcased their academic progress, celebrated accomplishments, reflected on their growth and shared goals for continued success. Learner-Led Conferences are an important part of developing student ownership, confidence and responsibility by empowering learners to communicate what they know, recognize areas for growth and take pride in their learning. The experience also strengthens the partnership between home and school, bringing families and educators together to support each learner’s continued growth and success.
