Wilson Elementary School’s beloved therapy dog, Jill, recently was featured in the National Association of Elementary School Principals Magazine's September/October 2024 issue. The article highlights how Jill, a certified therapy beagle, has become an integral part of the school community, providing comfort and joy to students and staff alike. From greeting children in the morning to attending school events, Jill’s presence has positively impacted students’ mental health and well-being. The story also explores how Wilson’s counselor and Jill’s owner, Kaylyn Hickey, and Principal Cooper Hilton worked together to bring this innovative program to life.
