On Sept. 3, students in Carolyn Daniel’s Spanish class at Coppell Middle School West were building their language and cultural knowledge as they prepared for an upcoming test on Spanish-speaking countries and their capitals. Using flashcards and textbooks, students were actively reviewing key information, strengthening their recall and developing a deeper understanding of the countries and cultures connected to the Spanish language. Spanish is one of several high school-level courses available to CISD middle school students, who can also explore advanced mathematics and Career and Technical Education opportunities, including computer science, engineering and more.
