Coppell ISD was recently featured twice by NBC 5, highlighting the creativity, generosity and community spirit of our students, staff and families. On Sept. 10, NBC 5’s Something Good spotlighted Wilson Elementary PTO co-presidents Ali Shakesby and Olivia Bale and their popular “Carpool Cheer Up,” where music, dancing and plenty of school spirit are helping make the carpool line a little more fun. One of their videos has already reached more than 10 million views, but for Shakesby and Bale, the effort is about creating connection and making students and families feel welcome.
On Sept. 8, NBC 5 also featured CHS senior Prajit Sreenvias and his Knot Your Average Boys crochet group including Jayden Karjee, Veer Talsania, Satvik Kolathaya and Arnav Shrivastav. The story showcases how the students are making a difference in the community by crocheting blankets for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
