Coppell ISD has once again earned the highest possible financial accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), marking the 23rd consecutive year the district has received this distinction. In preliminary findings for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, CISD was awarded both an “A” Superior Achievement Rating and a score of 96 through the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). CISD has earned a “Superior” rating every year since the program began in 2002.
CISD Chief Financial Officer Diana Sircar said the district’s continued success in FIRST reflects its longstanding commitment to fiscal responsibility and accountability.
“Earning this top financial rating for 23 years in a row demonstrates our deep commitment to managing taxpayer dollars with integrity and transparency,” Sircar said. “Our focus is always on directing resources where they matter most, supporting student learning and equipping our teachers and staff for success, while keeping administrative costs low and ensuring CISD remains financially strong.”
The district will present its official FIRST report during a public hearing at the Oct. 27 Board Meeting. Additional information, including CISD budget and finance reports, is available at www.coppellisd.com/page/budget-financial-reports.
