Coppell Middle School West, Coppell Middle School East and Canyon Ranch Elementary have each earned a spot in the Top 10 of the 2024–2025 Children at Risk North Texas school rankings. The organization announced the rankings during a news conference on Nov. 10.
"This achievement is a powerful validation of the exceptional work taking place in our district," said CISD Superintendent Dr. Leanne Shivers. "These rankings are a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the support of our families and the hard work of our students."
The Children at Risk rankings evaluate Texas public schools using a rigorous methodology that includes student achievement, progress and performance gaps. For elementary and middle schools, they consider three key factors:
