Dear Coppell ISD Community,
The Coppell Police Department has given the all clear at Coppell High School and determined the building is safe and that there is no credible threat to the school. Coppell High School will reopen and resume normal operations tomorrow, Feb. 19. CHS staff and students, as well as CHS9 and New Tech students, have received instructions on how to retrieve any items that were left at CHS this morning.
We want to say thank you again to our CHS teachers and staff, our students, and to the Coppell Police Department for their response today. We also want to thank the CISD community for their support as we work together to keep our schools safe.

Dear CISD Community,
This morning at around 8:20 a.m. Coppell ISD and the Coppell Police Department were made aware of a possible bomb threat at Coppell High School. To allow the Coppell Police Department the opportunity to conduct a thorough investigation, the opening of school was delayed, and those staff and students who were already on campus were evacuated. Buses that were en route to the campus were deferred to another location. All students and staff were safe throughout this process.
CHS9 and New Tech students who were at CHS are returning to their home campus to finish the day. CHS students who were on campus or who were on buses en route to campus have been transported to another location for family reunification. CHS families have received instructions on how to safely pick up their children who were on campus prior to school starting this morning.
We want to thank the Coppell Police Department for their swift response, as well as commend the CHS staff and students who were on campus for responding calmly to this situation. We are also aware of other similar threats at other schools and districts in our area. We want to reassure our community that the Coppell Police Department is doing a thorough investigation to ensure CHS is safe before reopening. In order for this to occur, CHS will remain closed today, Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Again, we want to thank our CHS teachers and staff, our students and the Coppell Police Department for their response today. We also want to thank the CISD community for their support as we work together to keep our schools safe.
