One way we keep learners engaged in this important week is by having dress up days that go along with the theme and ideas of Red RIbbon Week. Our student leaders chose the following dress up days:
Monday, Oct. 23: Red - Red RIbbon Week Kick Off parade
Tuesday, Oct. 24: Career - Dress for your future career; get that dream job by being kind to your mind and avoiding drug and alcohol abuse
Wednesday, Oct. 25: PJs - School appropriate pajamas; rest is important for your growing brain!
Thursday, Oct. 26: Mismatch - Wear mismatched clothes; me and drugs don't mix!
Friday, Oct. 27: Twin - Match your clothes with a peer; keep friends who will match your values and not pressure you to use drugs or alcohol

You can get more information about the Red Ribbon Week campaign at RedRibbon.org, and ways to support our endeavor as a parent by completing this pledge to help kids grow up safe, healthy, and drug free.

Red Ribbon Week is October 23-27. This year's national theme is "Be Kind To Your Mind. Live Drug Free."
Join us for a Red Ribbon Week Parade Monday, October 23 at 8am outside Lakeside! Wear your RED and cheer on your Longhorn's healthy choices!
