Richard J. Lee Elementary - Spurs

For the second year in a row, Coppell ISD has been named a Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) District of Distinction, placing its visual arts program among the top 8% in the state. Out of more than 1,200 eligible districts and institutions, only 109 earned this prestigious honor by meeting the rigorous criteria of TAEA’s comprehensive 14-point rubric. The recognition, sponsored by the Visual Art Administrators of Texas, celebrates districts that demonstrate exceptional leadership in promoting the arts, actively participate in their communities, and foster creative learning opportunities that connect students to their peers, schools and society. CISD will be formally recognized at the TAEA Fall Conference later this year.
