Richard J. Lee Elementary - Spurs

Both Coppell Middle School East and Coppell Middle School West were honored with the prestigious Mark of Excellence Award for their Spring 2025 performances, placing them among the top middle school bands in the nation. This national program recognizes outstanding achievement in performance by school ensembles across the United States, with the top 25% of entrants named National Winners and the next 25% recognized as Commended Winners. Under the direction of Steve McGrew at CMS East and Katherine Rivera at CMS West, the bands’ accomplishments highlight the exceptional quality of CISD’s music education and the talent of its student musicians.
