Miller’s selection reflects decades of leadership and service, from his roots as a nationally recognized band director to his current role shaping district programs and influencing statewide practice. As UIL Marching Band Liaison and Texas Music Adjudicators Association President Elect, his work has strengthened adjudication systems and judge training for more than 1,000 schools. Widely respected as a clinician and DCI adjudicator, Miller continues to exemplify excellence, advocacy, and innovation in Texas music education.
