Coppell ISD proudly hosted its first-ever Seal of Biliteracy Awards Ceremony on May 5, recognizing 69 Pre-K, fifth-grade and eighth-grade students for their achievement in bilingualism and biliteracy and marking an important milestone in the district’s commitment to honoring the linguistic and cultural strengths of its learners.

The ceremony opened with remarks from Director of ESL and Bilingual Services Dr. Anita de la Isla and featured a heartfelt poem reading by student Cora Martinez, along with inspiring words from Pre-K teacher Claudia Barrera about the importance of nurturing bilingualism from an early age.
