State qualifiers from Coppell High School and CHS9 brought their talents to life at the 2026 State VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) in San Marcos April 25-26, where their work was displayed among the top 10 percent of more than 32,000 regional entries. Students participated in workshops, shared portfolios with colleges and competed for scholarships, as Coppell ISD painted an impressive showing with 23 state medals, one Gold Seal awarded to Amulya Chandupatla (CHS) and a photography competition scholarship awarded to Rohan Velma (CHS9). CHS medalists included Aditi Ahuja, Aimey Augustine, Varshini Avula (two medals), Lily Ellison, Poshika Eswaran (two medals), Sahasra Kalakonda, Natasha Kumar, Olivia Rebello (two medals), Pratyasha Sahoo (two medals), Sahana Sudhir and Alice Zhang.
