The spotlight is shining brightly on Coppell High School Theatre as students continue to steal the show on and off the stage. CHS senior Georgia Reynolds has earned a UIL Theatrical Design State qualification for the third time in Marketing, proving once again that her talent knows how to hit every mark.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of Tuck Everlasting continue to enjoy an awards-season run that is nothing short of show-stopping. The production received two Broadway Dallas High School Musical Awards nominations, including Outstanding Lead Performer for CHS junior Max Victory and Best Ensemble, affirming that the entire company truly brought the house down. Tuck Everlasting also earned seven Schmidt and Jones High School Musical Awards nominations. These nominations are for Best Costumes for New Tech High @ Coppell junior Eliza Wicker and CHS junior Ashrrita Sathish, Best Sound Design for CHS senior Mary Nemec, Best Actor for CHS junior Teo Petrov, Best Supporting Actress for CHS junior Taliah Ellis, Best Actor in a Minor Role for New Tech High @ Coppell senior Jameson Cross, Best Female Ensemble Member for CHS junior Maya Lampkin, and Best Ensemble.
These achievements have been guided by the leadership of Glenn Price, Theatre Director, and Aaron Kays, Technical Theatre teacher, with additional support from Eugenia Montoya and Colin Thomas at CHS9.
