Stop-Arm Cameras on Buses

Drivers are reminded not to pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing and stop arms are displayed. The fine for a stop-arm camera violation has been set by Dallas County Schools at $300. All questions about the program including enforcement should be directed to the Dallas County Schools Transportation Department. For more information visit

Another important safety concern is the proper use of crosswalks. Coppell ISD is asking for extra vigilance in observing crosswalk safety rules. Crosswalks are designed to accommodate pedestrians (walkers and those confined to a wheelchair). In the State of Texas, a bicyclist in the roadway must obey all vehicle traffic laws. Safety Tip: When in a crosswalk, please get off and walk your bicycle, skateboard, or scooter across the street.
