Coppell Student Media (www.coppellstudentmedia.com) and KCBY-TV Español were both honored with National Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker Awards at the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Minneapolis on April 18. This recognition is widely considered the highest honor in scholastic journalism. As one of the nation’s most prestigious awards, the Pacemaker celebrates excellence in student media and places these CHS programs among the best in the country. This continued recognition reflects the talent, dedication, and professionalism of Coppell’s student journalists. Special thanks to advisers Chase Wofford and Irma Lazos Kennedy for their leadership and commitment to excellence.
