Coppell Independent School District is proud to recognize two outstanding leaders whose commitment and contributions have made a lasting impact on students through the district’s Student iLead program.

Former Superintendent Dr. Brad Hunt has been named the recipient of the iLead Legacy Award, and Don Carroll of Frost Bank has been honored with the iLead Difference Maker Award.

Dr. Hunt is being recognized for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the Student iLead program. During his tenure as superintendent, he championed the initiative from its early stages, dedicating countless hours to its development and growth. His leadership helped establish Student iLead as a meaningful, real-world learning experience that prepares students for success beyond the classroom.

“Dr. Hunt’s belief in the power of Student iLead helped shape the program into what it is today,” said Board Trustee Leigh Walker. “His dedication, leadership and commitment to innovation created opportunities that continue to benefit students year after year.”

The iLead Difference Maker Award recognizes individuals who make a direct and meaningful impact on students through their service and partnership. Don Carroll has exemplified this through his dedicated involvement with the program.

Carroll has volunteered his time mentoring students, provided valuable feedback during mock interviews and shared his professional expertise by speaking with iLead cohorts. In addition, he has supported the program through financial contributions as part of his work with Frost Bank, helping ensure its continued success.

“Don Carroll represents the very best of community partnership,” said Walker. “His investment of time, talent and resources has made a significant difference in the lives of our students.”

Both honorees reflect the spirit of Student iLead — a program built on leadership, collaboration and real-world learning experiences that empower students to thrive in school, college, career and life.

Coppell ISD extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Hunt and Don Carroll for their lasting contributions and continued support of students and the iLead program.
