Dear Coppell ISD Employees,

As I shared during the June 8 Board Workshop, it is my goal that Coppell ISD provides top teacher pay and competitive staff compensation to attract and retain the best talent in order to provide the excellent education that makes our district stand out and thrive. I am proud to share that the CISD Board of Trustees also has remained committed to maintaining Coppell ISD’s position as a leader in our area in employee compensation. During tonight’s (June 22, 2026) Board Meeting, Trustees approved the following 2026–2027 Compensation Plan:

Teachers

  • All teachers will receive a 2% increase at the midpoint of the salary schedule (approximately $1,520).

  • Teachers who have completed their third year of teaching will receive a $2,500 increase, which includes the 2% midpoint increase plus an additional $980.

  • Teachers who have completed their fifth year of teaching will receive a $5,000 increase, which includes the 2% midpoint increase plus an additional $3,480.

  • The starting teacher salary for the 2026–2027 school year will be $65,000.

Coppell ISD recognizes the importance of retaining experienced educators. While the state-funded Teacher Retention Allotment (TRA) provided one-time salary increases during the 2025–2026 school year for eligible teachers, Coppell ISD will continue to recognize those important career milestones by providing these same increases for teachers who have completed their third and fifth years of teaching.

All Other Employees

  • All other employees will receive a 2% increase at the midpoint of their pay grade.

A section notes teachers eligible for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) with payouts ranging from $2,745 minimum to $11,385 maximum. Additional stipends listed: $1,500 for a master’s degree, $1,500 for a doctorate, $3,000 for specialized special education assignments, and $4,000 for bilingual certification. Other employee benefits include a $350/month healthcare contribution, enrollment eligibility for children living outside CISD, and TRS-Active Care benefits through BCBS. A note explains continued milestone raises, with a $2,500 increase for teachers completing their third year and a $5,000 increase for those completing their fifth year, both including the 2% midpoint increase plus additional amounts.

All CISD compensation plans will be updated to reflect the approved increases and posted on the Human Resources page of the Coppell ISD website at www.coppellisd.com/hr no later than July 1, 2026. The posted information will include the teacher salary schedule and links to all other salary plans.
