What an incredible evening at Coppell ISD’s Meet the Teacher Night. Our K-5th grade families filled the halls with excitement as they reconnected with familiar faces and met new ones, embodying our theme, My Home is CISD. It was wonderful to see our students exploring their new classrooms and checking out the amazing new playgrounds, made possible by the 2023 Bond. Some of our dedicated teachers went the extra mile, visiting homes to personally welcome students back. Here’s to a fantastic 24-25 school year ahead! #MyHomeisCISD

Singing their praises — the Coppell Choir A Cappella mixed choir has been invited to sing at the 2025 Texas Music Educator Association Convention, which will be held in San Antonio in February. This prestigious honor is granted to only a handful of exemplary Texas choir programs each year. Choirs are selected through a rigorous process which includes recordings from the last three academic years. We are so proud and thankful to the members of A Cappella and Choir Director Bona Coogle and her Co-Directors Aaron Coronado and Katherine Conkovich for their dedication to performing at the highest level. #MyHomeIsCISD

Sweet Reunion at CISD New Hire Breakfast: At the Aug. 1 Coppell ISD's New Hire Breakfast, the CISD Child Nutrition team served more than just breakfast — they served up memories. Estrella "Star" Primera, a beloved member of our Child Nutrition team for 30 years, had a sweet reunion with new teacher Sabrina Sadler, a former student to whom Primera served meals to when Sadler was in Kindergarten at Austin Elementary. A CISD graduate Sadler is starting her first year teaching social studies at Coppell Middle School East. This touching reunion highlights the lasting impact of CISD Child Nutrition staff, proving that a simple meal can nourish hearts and minds. #MyHomeIsCISD

Congratulations to the Coppell High School Wind Symphony placed second in the state as part of the TMEA 2024 Honor Band Process. The Honor Band process, similar to the UIL process, requires the preparation of three songs during the spring semester recorded in a live setting. Those recordings are then assessed by a panel of five judges on various accounts. The band then moved on to the next round of four total rounds, where Coppell Band reached the semi-final round and were among the 10 best ensembles in 6A this year. “Every day I feel blessed to have this job. Standing in front of the most talented students around is humbling and the greatest honor,” Shuttlesworth said. “Results are great, but getting to make music together to create art — there is nothing like it.” #MyHomeIsCISD #CISDInternMade by Rhea Chowdhary

📚 Help Coppell ISD Maintain Strong Student Attendance 🌟 To ensure your student doesn't miss out on learning opportunities and to support our district's funding: - Schedule dentist and doctor appointments outside of school hours or in the afternoon to avoid full-day absences. - Plan family trips and vacations during scheduled school breaks whenever possible. - Keep sick children home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication to prevent spreading illness. - Sending a child to school sick can lead to more missed days for them and potential work days for parents. Let's prioritize attendance for a successful school year! #CoppellISD #AttendanceMatters #HealthyHabits #StudentSuccess #EveryDayCounts 🏫💙
